Full Moon Insights

The Beaver Full Supermoon: Friday 15th November

The term Beaver Moon has its roots in Native American and early European settler traditions, which used such names to mark seasonal changes. Beavers who diligently build their winter dams around this time remind us of resilience, protection, resourcefulness, and determination.

A supermoon is when the moon is closest to Earth, appearing larger and brighter, amplifying emotions and intuition. They are often seen as windows for accessing spiritual insights and connecting more deeply with the divine. Now would be a great time to include practices that bring you to an altered state and arrive there with intention. Open to receive a wisdom hidden within you.

The Full moon energy is rooted in the essence of the Mother archetype and summer energy. It surrounds us with a rich, fertile energy that encourages both creation and conservation as we prepare for the shedding of light and a return to the moon's darkness. It embodies compassion, strength, and nourishment, inviting us to nurture ourselves and others in a balanced state of giving and receiving.

The full moon acts as a radiant mirror, illuminating both the seeds we've nurtured and the paths ahead for our fullest expression.

We're being asked to create supportive foundations, release what no longer serves us, and continue our journey with grace and trust.

As energy, is heightened on earth we can bring balance by intentionally slowing down, to nourish, enjoy and protect what we hold dear.

Full Moon Practices

  • Gratitude: Give thanks for all you've created and cultivated. Honor your growth, appreciating every step—even the small beginnings.

  • Release: Observe and release the hold of any patterns, attachments, or beliefs that feel restrictive or no longer serve your highest good.

  • Nourishing Acts:

    • Prepare a Nutritious Meal: Create a grounding, nourishing meal with seasonal ingredients, symbolizing the care and attention you invest in yourself and your loved ones. Enjoy the warmth and comfort of shared food or take a quiet moment to savor it alone.

    • Nurture Someone You Love: Reach out to someone close to you and offer support, a listening ear, or a simple gesture of love and care.

    • Self-Care Ritual: Spend time in a self-care practice that feels nurturing, such as a warm bath, journaling, or meditative breathing. Gifting yourself experiences to recharge and reflect.

  • Mantra: Choose a personal affirmation that embodies the Mother’s strength and resilience, grounding you in self-compassion and trust. Place it somewhere you will see it daily.

Full Moon Meditation

Sidereal Astrology

Sidereal vs. Tropical Astrology

Sidereal astrology uses the real positions of the stars in the sky to create your chart. It differs from tropical astrology. Because the Earth’s position slowly shifts over time, sidereal astrology reflects where the stars actually are today, while tropical astrology keeps the zodiac signs fixed to the seasons. As a result, your zodiac sign might be different in sidereal astrology compared to tropical astrology.

Sun in Libra

Sun in Libra - Air Element

Libra, the sign of harmony, urges us to step back and reflect on our lives. Are there aspects that feel out of alignment? This is a time to honestly assess where we may be drifting from our true values and to honor what brings joy and opens our hearts.

An Invitation to Broaden Our Perspective

Libra’s influence encourages us to see beyond our immediate circumstances. It reminds us that, even when life feels imbalanced or unjust, there’s often a greater story unfolding. We may not see all the layers of reality right now, yet we always hold the power to respond from a place of compassion and integrity.

Finding Our Center in Uncertainty

If situations feel unsettling or unfair, consider that an unseen possibility might be waiting to reveal itself. Rather than reacting out of frustration, this Full Moon urges us to slow down and hold space for ourselves and others. Instead of “fixing” or forcing balance, we can respond by simply being present with all that arises, even if it's uncomfortable.

Inner Balance: Aligning Morals, Values, and Authentic Expression

Balance under Libra is not just external; it’s deeply personal. This week, take time to reflect on your inner world. Are your values and actions aligned? What beliefs are driving your decisions? Authentic expression comes from aligning what we feel in our hearts with how we act. Sometimes, speaking our truth can feel uncomfortable, but honesty is the foundation of harmony. Ask yourself: Can I show love and respect even in moments of difference? True connection doesn’t always mean agreement; it’s about mutual respect and acceptance.

Exploring Connection Through Shared Curiosity

This week is ideal for exploring deeper connections with loved ones through shared interests. Curiosity can be a powerful tool for connection, allowing us to learn from each other’s perspectives. Who would you like to deepen into relationship with?

Authenticity Rooted in the Body

Libra’s Full Moon encourages us to bring the spiritual into the physical. It’s about rooting our love into our bodies and daily actions, allowing us to manifest authentically. Begin by being fully honest with yourself about what’s coming up. Take responsibility for your actions, then ask: Does this align with my heart?

Making Space for the Shadow

Authenticity also means honoring the parts of ourselves that we often ignore—the shadows. These are the aspects we tend to classify as “good” or “bad,” yet they are simply expressions of beliefs and energies. This Full Moon invites us to embrace the wholeness of who we are, without judgment.

Moon in Aries and Taurus

Aries-Taurus (Fire & Earth) Full Moon & Saturn Turning Direct

As we navigate the Aries-Taurus Full Moon energies, Saturn, the planet of structure and discipline, goes direct on November 15, 2024, marking a powerful time for taking decisive action and solidifying our visions. The blend of Aries’ boldness, Taurus’ grounding energy, and Saturn’s return to forward motion creates a powerful atmosphere for realignment, responsibility, and manifestation.

Aries Energy

With the Full Moon in Aries, we’re invited to step fully into our authentic selves. Aries, symbolized by “The Ram,” - courage, assertiveness, and a readiness to take action even in the face of resistance or fear. This energy calls us to recognize what fuels our passions and to push forward into our visions for both personal and collective futures. Where in your life can you be proactive in creating the new earth you dream of?

Taurus Energy

As the Full Moon energy shifts into Taurus, we’re prompted to slow down and reconnect with what matters most. Taurus encourages us to anchor our lives in values that bring a sense of security and peace. This is a moment to prioritize what sustains and nourishes us, to create a solid, healthy foundation. How can you bring more presence into your body and engage your senses to build a more satisfying, grounded life? How can deepening into relationships support this strong foundation?

Saturn Direct

After a period of introspective retrograde, Saturn’s shift to direct motion is an invitation to take responsibility and bring discipline to our lives. We’re asked to assess our contributions and ensure our actions align with our long-term goals. If perfectionism, control, or stagnation have been holding us back, now is the time to recalibrate. Saturn reminds us to harness our inner authority, implementing changes that lay the groundwork for sustainable growth.

Practice: Slowing Down to Listen

To integrate these energies, slow down and connect with your body. Spend time feeling into the sensations within and listen for insights. What does your body need, and what actions resonate with your core values?

Finally, anchor yourself in love and gratitude.

Use a simple mantra that reminds you of your heart’s wisdom and the freedom to release beliefs that no longer serve you.

The Full Moon in Aries-Taurus with the Sun in Libra is a time to step into our true selves while balancing bold action with grounded energy. Libra encourages us to look at our relationships—are we in alignment with what really matters to us, and are we showing up authentically for others? This is a moment to take responsibility for how we show up in our connections, offering respect and love even when we don’t agree. With Saturn going direct, it’s time to make decisions that reflect our heart’s desires and our long-term vision, while being mindful of how our choices affect others.
